WTB: Plate Amp - Buy & Sell Car Audio Equipment

I am looking for...

A plate amp. Anywhere between 500w and 1,000w. New or used (preferably used because it would be cheaper).

I may be able to help you both, I am not sure how soon you need them, Right now I have 250watt@4ohm plate amp that I use for HT subs I build, they sell for $149.00. My suppiler tells me they are coming out with a 500 and 1000watt amp very soon, but it could be 4-6weeks. He was not sure on the cost yet, waiting on the manufacture. If your not to much in a hurry for it, I will stay on it till I get a cost and ETA and will let you know.

Nope, not too much in a hurry. If you could do that it would be great. At the moment I just posted WTB thread on 3 forums seeing what sorts of replies I get.

so i'm kinda thread jacking here, but JD, do those amps run at 3 ohms? I want to use my LMS4k at home, but I can't many plate amps that go down to 3 ohms without voiding the warranty.

Sounds good guys, I will let you know when the big amps are out, I hope it will not be to long. PatFitz9, they are rated at 4ohms, now, for a HT system, and if you were to install a good venting system for the amp, at 3ohms, you might be OK. I have a system that I am running on my back deck of my house, it is driving a pair of two way speakers and a single 4ohm sub, it is running at 2ohms

, and unless I really, really crank it, which I never have to because it plays plenty loud, I never have a clipping problem. It is cooled very well and the system never shuts down. The new amps maybe stable lower, i will have to contact the Rep and find out. I will let you know.
