Looking for good quality 6.5's at about $150
Overall I'm pretty happy with what I've got in my car with the exception of my front speakers. I had thrown in some Lightning Audio bolt 6.5 3ways that I had bought to replace the blown speakers in my truck and I am finding that they can't keep up with my subs, my deck has sub level contro range of 0 (off) to 8 (High) but on most music I have to have it turned to about 2 or 3 to hear much of anything. I know the lightnings are crap but I got them for 5 bucks.
I'm looking for a set of speakers that I can get shipped to Canada for about 150 max. I like the Infinity 62.7 kappa's idea of having a crossover like a pair of components have but I'm not sure how easy it would be to get new wires into the doors in an 89 nissan maxima. what else is there comparable to these.
I'd like to use co-axials or at the most a component set that you can mount the tweet on the mid like the Boston spz60 which are a little out of my range (the local shop has them at 1500 canadian) no problem going online or ebay

hmm...don't know how to convert to Canadian dollars or anything, but as far as budget comps go I would suggest the Cadence CWM6 on ebay. Their crossovers are a bit iffy though.
If you're willing to spring a bit more money look into some Crystals comps, those seem to be great for the price. Again though, i have not taken shipping and stuff like that into consideration, so just shop around.

one more thing i would suggest you do is to look up mach5 audio and maybe thinking about going with an active set up since they have mids for cheap, and they're located in Canada.
He should have some tweets soon also, just a suggestion for you.

how much sound difference would I get between the ssx-615 and sscs-6 component version with the tweeter mounted beside the mid?
And what kind of quality are their amps, specifically the CAM200.2?

I don't know too much about the difference between the two lines of Crystal, but many seems to prefer the sscs6 more.
As far as imaging goes, if you put the tweet next to the mid(near the kickpod, i assume) then it will lower ur soundstage. I prefer to have the tweet near the A-pillar, to have a higher soundstage. It's pretty much depends on preference and how you want the sound to be. Just my $0.02
