Rockwood XR4510 DVC 4 ohm

Got these at a flea market, I paid $10 to get in the market and figured I had to buy something or be out my $10.

So I find these for $25 for a pair. They are 24K gold plated monsters!

DVC 4 ohm, 150 oz double stack magnets, plastic cone and large phat foam surround.

800 monsterous watts max (200rms), plastic mounting gasket.

These will go in my BJ Fisher box, 2 cuft tuned at 35hz, powered by an eD 9.1 1200 watts rms. Yes I will be underpowering them.

I put them in last night, I had to put some weather stripping around the plastic mounting gasket's, BJ didnt know I would be using such high quality subwoofers in this box.

He thought I was going to put some FI BL 10's in it , I only run high quality stuffs.

Anyway, I ran out of weather stripping so I was only able to seal one of the subs up right, so I power them up.

I was instantly blown to the back of my garage from the blast! I felt like I was in the hyperbolic chamber from dragonball Z as I crawled to the car and reached for the volume knob.

Once I got hte volume down I was able to breath again. I am ecstatic, these are the best woofers I have ever laid ears on!

The way they were pumping, and the air was shooting out of the leaks all around the plastic gasket, not the subs fault though.

I cant wait to get the second sub sealed up right.....

It was really hard to keep from laughing when I typed out this thread! If you guys didnt know.... I was kidding!

I did buy these subs from a flea market, I put them in last night when I got home from work, I planned on frying them off my 9.1

Amazingly to me, they didnt blow?? They do sound like SHIT though! The cheap plastic gasket would not hold air.

I did run out of weather stripping so one of them is still leaking. Funny thing is, they are loud, they dont sound like they are liking 1200 wats though.

I am going to have to let them run longer if I plan on doing any damage, I didnt want to run them too long because my wife would have started complaining, our room sits just above the garage.

They were not even hot after I took them out of the box? They have little vent screens in the magnets, I did notice the 24k gold starting to peel of around the vents.

I plan on abusing these until I get my second BL to go in the box. Or until I get sick of how these things sound.

So keep a look out for updates.

hahaha i knew it would be a comedy thread with a title that says rockwood in it lol. I might need to go up to our flea market and get some cheap ass woofers and hook them to the van, i was going to go with 2 12" best buy insignia woofers but thats $99, if i can get a pair for $20 im sold lol o and Ill make a video too hahaha
