Opinions on Cadence/Crystal comps

Anybody have any experience with either/preferably both of these component sets?

I've heard the Cadence are nice budget comps, good midbass, get pretty loud.
Can get for $90 shipped straight from Cadence

The Crystal's I've heard pretty much the same thing... good midbass, get loud.
Price on these is $165 shipped/authorized.

I've got 230w per channel, so power is not an issue....

Thoughts?

the cadence ones are decent, their CVL line is amazing that one youre looking at is a great budget component set. I will soon be upgrading to cvls... again

Yeah, I love the CVL's... but out of the price range for this install

So it's down to these 2 sets...

I've heard da Cadence and it's a very good comp set for the money. The midbass was not that great though, but mayb it's because there was not enough power going to it.

I've heard good things about Crystal though, so I say u go with dat, just cuz i wanna hear ur thoughts on them

I'm leaning towards the Crystals.... just never read ANYTHING bad about them. And for $165, not a bad price...

No it's not at all, the Crystals are known for SQ and I know u know dat. And btw, my friend's crossover on the CWM-6 went out, one of them. So maybe that will make ur decisions easier.

Hmm, I had the Cadence ZX6-kit at one time and the crossover went out on them too... red flag?

My right crossover on my Cadence set started to cut in and out with the mid and then one day it just quit. I open up the crossover and see this:

I love the tweeters and will continue to use them until they die. The tweeters were worth the $90 to me. I enjoyed the mids as well and still use them now and again but I have since upgraded to CDT HD-6s and use a/d/s crossovers.
