Anyone know if 900 watts is too much for 12" Orion 2NT sub?

I am running one 12" svc Orion 2NT sub off of an Orion 900 XTR bridged. Is this too much for this sub? Will I potentially cause damage to the sub? It sounds fine, no distortion, and the gains aren't up more then half way. Any info would be great, thanks.

Not really sure, as I bought it used, and can not find any specs. I think that I read somewhere, 500 watts rms, 1000 peak.

You should be fine depending on enclosure specs and how greedy you are with the volume nob.

Sounds like a lot to me. I wouldn't risk overheating and destroying that sub prematurely. I'd feed it 500 max imho. Owner's manual says 1000 pmax. I wouldn't go there.
