Recone question - Buy & Sell Car Audio Equipment

If I wanted to buy a recone kit from Fi to recone a sub to DVC 1 ohm, how hard do you guys think it would be for a guy (Me) who has never taken a sub apart to do it?

I am waiting on a response over on SSA in the Fi section, but I thought I would ask over here as well.

shouldn't be hard at all.. most recones are seriously simple.. drop in and glue

if i may suggest 1 thing though, it would be- get a new basket.. scraping glue sucks

A new basket is going to cost me though, and where can you find some good glue? Fi won't send glue through the mail

you can scrape the basket, it is just worth it (to me) to buy a new basket (i think its like $25 from fi) as far as glue- i use loctite 410, and 411c mcmaster will have it, otherwise- go to a hobby shop and get ca glue. lots of ppl use that

I'll tell you one thing about FI cs rite now tho. One member on here has been trying to get in touch wit them forever but did not get any response, so that might be a risk. But since u have FI products, i guess it won't be bad :shrug:

And just use lots of glues
