I wanna make sure this is true. I was running some tones last night, but this even happened with music with the volume up louder, but the DD is freshly reconed and it starting to smell. Its similar to that of burnt voice coils. I heard it is because it hasn't been played, might the glue, I dont know. Can anyone confirm so I dont have to get another recone? I'll be re-setting my gains but in case I roll up next to a dude who thinks they got a system, I can turn it up real quickly and show that bish what a real system sounds like.
No, different head unit, different pre out voltage, different amp. I also realized I had blown out my rear left speaker with the RF I wont be using the rear speakers anyway, just gonna stick to woofer in the back and a good front stage.
Make sure you redo all your settings since some important parts of your system have changed. More than likely it's just extra glue burning off.

excess glue on the voicecoil burning off i usually let my subs ride on 20 hz for a while to break them in and burn off any excess glue and to take pimp vids after reconing

20hz? is this free air or in a box. And if in a box, is it ported?
