New AQ HDC3 pics

"These subs have been tested hundreds of hours with various coils, spiders and cone configurations over the past two years in the development stages of the new woofer.

Standard features are FW aluminum coil, laminated re-enforced cone, increased basket cooling, beveled pole piece, cross drilled pole for increased cooling, multiple spiders, triple stack motor and RMS rating somewhere between 15-2000 and peak around 4-5000. Two year warranty for manufacturing defects.

As you know we have been producing the HD3 series for over 4 years in our production facility at Oklahoma City . That sub was entirely hand built with the very best American parts available. We even purchased the raw steel and machined our own motors. We introduced the HD3 to compete with the cheaply built off shore products and for the most part our prices have very competitive. We were able to do this because we sell Internet only and work on a very small profit margin.

Over the past four years American steel prices have more than doubled, American coil and cone manufactures have either been forced out of business or have drastically increased prices. These factors plus our own increased labor costs have made it increasingly difficult to maintain our pricing levels. We have always aimed our products at the do-it-yourself or first time buyer endusers and will continue to do so.

Over the past four years we have been approached by many off shore suppliers and manufactures to either supply parts or manufacture our products. Realizing that we would eventually have to source off shore to stay i n b usiness we have spent the last two years designing subs and sourcing parts for off shore production. We have looked at literally dozens of manufactures and parts suppliers. We have selected what we think are the very best and have trained their employees in our production and gluing methods and have sourced the best parts.

The result is the new H DC 3 series. The difference between us and most other importers of off shore products is we tell you up front where the product comes from (The C in H DC 3 denotes the origin) and we actually design the subs and source the parts to use. Our family has been designing and building speakers for over 25 years and is well respected for quality and performance.

Unlike others the savings in production will be passed on to the endusers. Our pricing will reflect actual production cost. We anticipate the H DC 3 series at $245 for the 10” and $249 for the 12 and 15”. The H DC 318 cost considerably more to produce but should come in around $299." quote by DJ Langford.

Did a heck of a job DJ giving us the best of chinese parts for low, low money Its great to see that someone in the manufacturing business who cares about there customers with top notch customer service and offering great products with out the huge markup as other brands. I have a few others pics from a few months ago and im gonna ask if its ok to post those as well.

Nice lookin driver there. Never realized how inexpensive their flagship driver actually was, I'm honestly surprised that these aren't used more these days.
