should I trade?

I was talking to a guy about trading my 10" LMS4000 for a 12" JBL GTi mkII, straight up.

I think the new GTi subs have the best looking basket on the market, hands down. I have never heard one, but i have heard nothing but good things about them. also, do they need a big enclosure? JBL's site doesn't say anything (that i can find) about box requirements.

Would it do well with 1000 watts? I don't want to get another amp, since i just spent a good chuck of change on my amps. and i like the PDX, so i don't want to get rid of it.

I wouldnt man. The JBL is a badass sub, but it'd be alil underpowered IMO...unless you got another pdx,

The JBL is an awesome sub, but the impedance load would kill you. unless you can find an amp to put out some great power at 3ohm

i got one that puts out 1000 watts at 3 ohms... that was the main issue. is that enough? I was told 1000 would be good for the 12

yea 1000W @3ohm is perfect for it I personally wouldnt exceed 1100W on a 12" GTI For Daily. And no they do not need big enclosures they do fine in small ones

Its really up to you, you have enough power for it go for it.
