xdvd710 ipod question - Buy & Sell Car Audio Equipment

i recent bought this in-dash, when i hook up my ipod to the iPLUG comin out of the back of the deck, the ipod works, but i am unable to navigate through the deck i still have to use the ipod

i didnt know if there was something else i had to hook up, or if there was a software problem b.c of an old ipod...

I dont think dual has the ipod interface on their units

Control and command all iPods via touch screen (Except iPod "Shuffle")

what gen is your ipod? try updating the software and see if it works.

ive come to the conclusion, that my problem was in fact the old ipod (gen1) which is fine... b/c the battery recently took a shit on me....

i have a xdvd71 dual audio.video in my car and im trying to hook up my ipod nano vesion 1.0.3 but in the manual it says i dont have the right version, now could any one tell me if thers a free software i could download on my ipod so it would work? and where would i find this software?
