What size fuse?

I am going to be running a 15" BTL off 2kw. What size fuse do I need to fuse the power wire? Not really sure how to determine what size I need.

Add up all of the fuses on your amps and go with that maybe a little bigger but not much.

What is that on a BXi2006D? And can you only control the gain with the bass knob?

No you should be able to set the gain on the amp as a matter of fact you should properly set your gains on the amp and throw that bass knob out the window.

And I have no Idea what size fuse(s) are on that amp. Sorry

Yeah same here why whould you fuse for the wire? Your protecting your amps correct? All I know is that when I emailed memphis about what size inline fuse to run to properly protect my amps they told me to do this:

Hi Nick-
The correct value of the fuse near your battery will need to be the sum of all your amplifiiers fuse values,
so it should be 120 amps (if those are the only two amps in your system).

Thanks,

The fuse protects the wire. For 1/0 guage use a 250amp ANL fuse or 300amp ANL fuse, depending on wire manufacturer. Some amps dont have internal fuses or fuses on them, on those amps they recommend the size fuse to use for the wire, in this case the fuse protects the wire and amp. With those amps with fuses in them or attached to them just fuse to the wire size.
