Memphis or Kicker Amp?

I have 2 RE Audio RE8 subs that need to be powered
I can get a Memphis 500 watt amp from a local pawn shop, dont know exactly which model, but my friend that works there said it was 1 ohm stable.
I can also get a Kicker ZX350.2 from a local car audio shop

Can the RE's handle 500 watts from the Memphis when they are wired to 1ohm.
or should I get the Kicker and keep them near the recommended wattage of 175watts each(350 total)

a few things
I know Kicker amps usually do a little over what they are rated, so no big deal there
I can get the Memphis amp for $180, dont know what the Kicker will cost yet, but they go anywhere from $115-$220 on the internet...jeez what a difference.

I'm thinking I should get the Memphis, and just keep the gain down a bit.
I did have a PG Xenon 400.1 giving them 425watts at one point, but it crapped out on me, so I know the RE's will take a bit over their recommended wattage.

ok, enough rambling I suppose, so Opinions plz

lol, nevermind UNLESS someone really thinks Kicker is better....I've decided to go with the Memphis and work wit the gain....a LOT of ppl on another forum are recommending that.

If its the mclass memphis then I highly recommend it, I have had nothing but good luck with the class D memphis amps, however their class a/b have gotten warm on me when bridged.

ok, got the amp
Memphis PRD500.1
They powered it up and tested it for me at the shop, sounded fine. Its scratched a bit, but not too bad for a used amp. Paid $150.
just have to wire the subs down to 1ohm, and hook everything up....should be bumping again by tomorrow at latest.....oh and one other thing, didnt come with the bass control, but I see thats OPTIONAL anyway plus I use my HU for that.

lol I'll have to get some batteries for the camera first...btw, I'm still running with my stock HU, the Pioneer ones in the pawn shop...
As soon as I get the batteries for the camera, and I get the subs rewired to 1ohm, I'll make a short vid and post the link
