static coming out of speakers at high volume

im not sure whats wrong, but sometimes my speakers will randomly go staticy when there is a bass note and the subs will not hit. could it be a loose ground? my speakers will also go out completely at high volumes all of a sudden. this has never happened before. i would always leave it at 24/40 on my HU, but now it will start to cut off at 22 randomly. anybody know whats wrong with it?

Yes could be a ground issue. Could be a lot of things actually.

Id start with the grounds and slowly start checking all of your connections and wire.

along with checkin your wiring. check voltage. When you are turning the volume up maybe the demand on your electrical system is too high. That happened when my second battery was unhooked, if i turned the volume up too high, the amps would get all static and eventually just be playing static until you turned the volume down.

figured out the problem.

the power wire got messed up at the battery terminal, had to re-do it.
