reighning with no cap
alright
my systm is
2,15" ma audio mx150xe's 700 rms each @ 2ohms
a volfenhag 2000w peak,900w rms
each in own sealed box
and a pioneer H.U.
had some car trouble ,,put it in the shop
guy fixed my alternator problem{it was squealing from a bad ground wire and wouldn't stop until it charged)car runs great.i beat the hell out of my system
it drops my voltage meter dimms lights just a little. i have a 87 blazer,,,with a 350 smallblock V8,,i know this thing needs power,,i'd like to give my system it's own power. some say just buy a cap, some say second battery, EF a cap.
some say both. i'm about 75% sure of what i want to do,and i know this isn't going to be decided by what i prefer.
even went to a couple of car audio shops and got 2 different suggestions, dude said get a second battery thy stop selling caps, the other guys said i'd have to have both,,or it won't work
i need more info before i go spend money ,,thats all

just upgrade your charging system.
like the battery ground, alt. ground, and alt. pos. to battery. aka the big three
should clear up your problems

1/0 is overkill for your charging system, a good 4 awg will be more than enough, especially with the stock alternator, however if you do go with an upgraded alt of 200 amps or larger, then 1/0 would be appropriate.

Bigger is always better right? He could do 1/0 just in case.
Make sure you fuse it!

X4. For that short of a run, you won't really notice much difference in price between 4 gauge and 0 gauge.
