Head unit and battery to power

I'm selling my eclipse in dash flip screen and I have a potential buyer locally. They would like to check out the deck's functions and see the condition of the screen. At the moment the screen is closed. I was wondering if it's possible to connect the power and parking wire to the positive of a kinetik hc 1800 and the ground wire to the negative terminal without damaging anything. Basically i'm tryin to power on the unit, don't need sound, just for the guy to be able to see how the unit is used. If there is any other way, please let me know. Thanks!

Didn't realize what you mean, thought I had said that but I see i goofed up and said the parking wire on the power....anyways, this would work? Power on positive post and parking & ground on negative post and it wont damage the unit?
