What color is the remote lead (12v switch) on a 06 chevy cobalt?

from the stock harness? are you using the stock radio?

Yes I am planning on using the stock radio. My sister just wants some bump in her trunk. I have tried, and tried, and tried to get her to upgrade to an aftermarket deck but she doesnt want to. So Im going to use a line converter and put a little kicker amp in there with a 12" Comp VR. Its going to sound like ass but its what she wants.

She just wants to be cool

I believe there is probably an amp in that car so make sure you are putting the loc after the amp, which I believe is under the drivers side dash. According to the diagram I have the factory amp turn on wire is pink. Or if that doesnt work you can use the assessory wire on the ignition harness which is brown.

buy a line output convertor with a remote turn on built in. peripheral by stinger makes one for like 40 bucks and thats what was installed in my car so it works.

YES!!! I actually just found one of these before I even read this. I didnt know these existed. Im kinda old

But I thought this was an amazing product, its a pac-audio trunk loc.

And my sisters battery is in the trunk this is going to be simple. Im not going to have to splice anything or drill through the firewall.

everything gm made after 04 or 05 doesnt have a switched lead for the HU to turn on either... sucks
