Arrow problems with network mode

so i switched my HU into network mode yesterday and noticed that my front 6.5's weren't playing any mid base frequencies. Everything sounded great before when I had it in standard mode, and I don't really have any experience with the HU in this mode; am i supposed to wire the speakers differently? I love the control I have, but it's not worth it if it's not playing my front mids correctly, all the sound comes from my rear mids. I have a pioneer premier 960mp and I am running some CDT HD components with an upstage and just some CDT HD-6's for rear fill. May be I don't have the crossovers set correctly? Like I said this is the first time I play with this network mode and i just figuring it out as I go.

have u went in and adjusted the crossover settings, slopes, etc?

i assume you have the pioneer 880?

check the mid HPF and LPF, slopes, etc. im not sure how they come set from the factory, may just have the crossover too high and its not playing the lower frequencies.

I have the 960, it's no longer in production but still an amazing HU. I did change the slopes and crossover points. It is playing all the frequencies but, it is not using my front 6.5's correctly. they are pretty much don't even make a sound while the rears play very nicely, and no they are not blown. I am running passive crossovers would that have an effect? If so why would the rears still work? They are playing off my JBL GTO75.4 if that helps. Everything worked perfect in STD mode but I wanted more control and so I went to NW mode now this. I am will be going back to STD until I can figure this out.

Ive got a 940 and 9300, same units just no cheap-o mechanical face.
Network mode makes the h/u run active crossovers, fronts turn into midbass, rears turn into treble and sub is still sub.
Switch it back to standard mode unless you are running active crossovers.
Pro/network mode isnt something to screw around with unless you know what you are doing.

Normally when running active (network mode), you would have your tweets and mids amped individually from your 4 channel amp. Front rca channels to the tweeters, rear channels to mids, and sub out for the sub(s). This is your 3-way active setup (2-way front stage + sub).

The way you've got it connected, you've got your rear channels to the rear speakers and your front channels to your components. The rear speakers are receiving all of the midbass and midrange frequencies, while your components are receiving the highs, which is why you're front mids sound like shit and have no midbass or midrange. The lowest crossover point for the front channels is probably around 1-1.25kHz.

So to get it hooked up right, you need to unhook the rear speakers (or run them off h/u power if you can, and if you really really want rear fill), ditch your passives, and bi-amp your front mids and tweets (front - tweets, rear-mids). Then everything will make sense and, after hours of tuning, adjusting crossovers and switching phase around and all that, it should sound pretty impressive.

thanks guys for the explanation. I knew it wasn't going to be as easy as flipping a switch, so I am going back to STD for now. Once I have time to rewire I will try this again.
