what amp for boston pro60s?

my friend trey has a kicker zx550.2 on his right now, and its just a little too much power...lol....the amp is 205 x 2 @ 4 ohm, and 275 @ 2 ohm...so, the pro60's being 3 ohm, im gonna guess theyre getting something around 240ish w rms per door. he barely has the gains at 25% on the amp, and sometimes the little tweeter light on the crossover will come on (like its distorting/getting too much power)

what kinda power do most people give these, and what would be a decent amp i could get?

how about just lowering the gain on it?

Or i guess he could always downgrade to a smaller amp? Though that doesn't make too much sense for me

well its not really about his, im looking for an amp for mine. i was just explaining how his amp is too big for it, why should i buy the same amp and waste money if i cant even use its power.

When if it's for you then i'd suggest get something just a bit smaller than that. Enough to fit the mini probably

It's a mini, of course it's small.

but newayz, if for rear fill, especially co-axials i don't think you would need to throw that much power to it. So something like 350.2(if there is one) would be sufficient. And of course something bit bigger up front

ya im thinkin bout a 250.2 for the rears, 450.2 for the front, and 1500.1 for the sub.

since u scrapped the Kicker option, any idea on what amps u want now? And i'm telling ya, just get that zx, it'll drop to 1ohm just need the voltage
