BandPass Design

Sup 80,
I was referred to this website and your section by themommyvan for CA.com.

I have just purchased two Mach 5 MJ18's from him yesterday and we got to talking about box design and he pointed me in the direction of your thread.

I was wondering if you did box designs for free?

Also,
What is your opinion of this box?

The dimensions aren't correct.
I have the skethcup file if you want to have a look at it.

Thanks,
Chris

Thanks for the reply.

I'm contemplating between three designs.
The one in this post.
A CRX Style at 34hz.
Or a Series Tuned 6th order, back tuned to 24 and front tuned to 60hz.

Which would you think would work best?

I have a 1988 Ford Bronco II.

Here are the dimensions I have to play with.

44" Deep
42" Wide
18" Tall (Below Window.)

I'm trying to do a sketchup of a normal ported box but I keep having problems getting the proper amount of airspace and port.

I will post pics when I am done,
Thanks.

I'm going to start working on a 4th Order and let you critique it.

Sealed side is ~5.8 Cubes
Ported is 9.7 at 34hz.
Both sides are a little bit over spec, is this OK?

that 4th order looks good. just make the port bigger...but if ur goin for high numbers than do the crx box...but instead of using slot port use aero ports
but if u want a nice sounding box the 4th order will work as well but tune it to 40hz

I like the lows.
Would tuning to 40hz still allow for those?
Especially Chopped and Screwed In The Hood by Trae. (Song hits at 29hz.)

I can care less about numbers.
I heard a system do bass race at only 143 and I thought it was the loudest stuff ever.

I'd be happy with a 43 on music.

Thanks.

Dimensions I have to work with.

44" Deep
42" Wide
18" Tall below Winder.

Would a properly built 6th Order fit in that space?
