Ported box for 3 12s - Buy & Sell Car Audio Equipment

Hey, how is it going. I just want to get an idea of what info you will need to make plans for a box for me. What I am looking for is a ported box for 3 JL 12w1s that will be going in a GMC jimmy. I will get you measurments for tomorrow. Im not looking for any specific layout but I would like it to look good and I really like the slot type ports. Not sure if it helps but I am running a JL 500/1 amp. Thanks alot.

Edit* I forgot to mention, I would like something loud as hell but I do love lows also so if you could design something that lets me have both that would be awesome. Thanks again.

when i'm bored i get on Sketchup and draw boxes up, dimensions would be great... it'll keep me occupied!

well if i remember ur width is 38wide(in between wheel wells)
as far as depth not sure how deep u want to go but i think 18inches is a good starting point...and height not sure but i wil try and keep it below the window line...so im going to say 15
38w x 15h x 18 d
as far as port im thinkin 1 slot port going across the bottom...but the catch is the lenght is going to be slanted

heres wat im thinking..if some 1 can sketch this up that would be great

the numbers on the inside are the internal measurements

Hey sorry I couldnt get back sooner, shit has been hectic lately. The width is 38" between the wheel wells. As far as height goes you can go a little higher if you need to say around 18-20 inches and for depth use whatever you need since I dont care about storage back there. The way my box is now is the middle sub is pointing straight and the left and right are slanted otherwise there would be no room. Is it even possible to have a slotted port on a box like this? I know I said I wanted it to hit the lows really well but as long as it sounds decent do whatever you need to do. I am not sure I understand the drawings you posted. Thanks alot.

sounds good to me
the fact that i can go bigger is even better
but the design i posted is a mspaint drawing( i hate it)
but its a ported box and the port is slightly slanted...it kind of like choking the port at the begining of the slant...and the port gets bigger 2wards the front of the box....
